WDA survey crews have significant experience on a variety of field and office survey projects ranging from simple topographic surveys to very complex pile stakeouts for high rise buildings in Boston. WDA survey crews are equipped with Sokia global positioning receivers, Topcon auto tracking total stations, and TDS Ranger Pro data collectors. Our projects typically include comprehensive services involving Registry research, road/utility/building surveys, AutoCad plan preparation, lot and easement calculations, construction stake out, as-built surveys, global positioning surveys (GPS), and project administration/ management. A representative listing of our recent survey projects is described below:
- Property line survey for a 250± acre parcel, wetland identification and location, global positioning survey for aerial mapping, town line location, preparation of existing conditions plan and preparation of final ANR plans to create a 160± acre building lot in Northborough.
- Property line survey, wetland identification and location, topographic survey and preparation of an existing conditions plan at the Sherwood Middle School for use by the project architect, Lamoureux & Pagano Associates.
- Property line and field survey of an existing Home Depot store and associated parking areas on 15± acres, and preparation of an ALTA/ACSM Title Insurance Plan to support First American Title Company in issuing a new title insurance policy. This work was coordinated though the client’s architect, Greenberg Farrow Architecture, Inc.
- GPS control for aerial photogrametry, boundary survey, wetland flag locations and AutoCad plan preparation for 100+ acres in Auburn for the town’s proposed High School.
- Boundary and topographic surveys and wetland locations on a 106± acre parcel on Hartwell Avenue in Littleton.
- Boundary and construction stakeout for the three story Studio One Hotel on Route 30 in Westborough for Wrenn Construction.
- Boundary survey and construction staking for one mile of access roadway, all utilities and 274 apartments for JPI in Marlborough.
- Construction staking for the three-story connector building that joins EMC’s World Headquarters buildings on South Street in Hopkinton.
- Construction control and staking for a new multi-story building for SunLife at Route 9 and Route 128 in Wellesley for Erland Construction.
- Detailed topographic and property line survey of 31 acres at Shrewsbury High School for conversion to a middle school. This work was completed for Lamoureux • Pagano Associates, Architects.
- Calculations and field stakeout of the horizontal and vertical locations of 300 augercast piles, including as-built survey to support construction of a 4 story parking garage at 47 Erie Street in Cambridge for MPS Corporation.
- Boundary survey and aerial topographic survey coordination for the 136± acre Boston Hill site in Shrewsbury, Northborough and Westborough for the Metropolitan Office of the YMCA of Greater Worcester.
- Topographic and utility survey for building addition design at Congregation B’nai Shalom in Westborough for William Sloan Associates.
- ALTA (American Land Title Association) plan and report for 19± acres including an Outback and Uno’s restaurant on Route 9/Route 135 at Stage Coach Plaza in Westborough for New England Management & Realty Corp.
- Street and bridge surveys for over one mile of Main Street (Route 62) and abutting roads in Maynard in accordance with Massachusetts Highway Department metric survey requirements for Edwards and Kelcey, Inc.
- Boundary and aerial topographic control survey for a 17± acre oceanfront peninsula in Manchester-by-the-Sea for State Street Global Advisors and Hunneman & Company/Previews.
- Boundary survey, wetland locations and aerial topographic survey coordination for 150± acre residential subdivision on Route 85 in Hopkinton for Toll Brothers, Inc.
- Boundary, partial topographic survey, and preparation of an ALTA survey for 31± acres on a state highway Turnpike Road (Route 9) in Westborough for New England Management & Realty Corp.
- Land Court boundary survey and partial topographic survey of and 80± acre parcel on three public streets in Upton for Hemenway & Barnes.
- Boundary and aerial topographic control survey, including town line determination for 40± acres on Ruggles and Adams Streets in Westborough for Symes Associates.
