An in depth feasibility study was prepared for this prime location adjacent to Route 9 in Westborough, MA. The project accommodates an approximately 17,000 square foot mixed-use two story building, while providing significant open space and a 100' buffer to the adjoining homes. The site layout allows for a drive-through restaurant and other retail/restaurant space on the first floor, with the second floor serving as office and/or additional retail space. Permitting involved Site Plan Review and a Mass Highway indirect access permit. WDA encouraged the proponent to involve the neighbors early in the process, ultimately resulting in support of the project. WDA also provided construction services to the general contractor, including shop drawing review, coordination with the permitting authorities and public utility companies as well as survey layout and progress as-built drawings to ensure compliance with the various permits.
