The new Westborough Commons development, through its revitalization of a former industrial complex, shall realize a unique opportunity by introducing some 20 acres of mixed use development within walking distance of the town's Downtown Business District. Allowed uses would include retail shops, restaurants, office space and residential units. WDA has played a key role in this redevelopment effort, providing leadership for the creation of a Master Plan of Development through the coordination of public and private interests. Its efforts, in concert with the Town of Westborough, facilitated a successful Town meeting vote on articles tailored to promote downtown revitalization and the envisioned mixed-use development for the project site.
